What began in 1998 as a weekend trip with my mother to help find quilts for a friend is now a custom gift business. We make custom quilts in hard-to-find patterns, exclusive patterns with the artist's permission, and unique patterns I design. We also specialize in modernizing old favorites, such as double wedding ring quilts and making quilts out of printed photos, mementos, clothing and other fabrics. Baby crib quilts have become harder to find so we offer a variety of baby quilts in those smaller sizes that can easily be personalized with a baby's name and birth date.

Handmade quilts for sale and ready-to-ship quilts are always available for you if you do not have the time for custom quilts. Please browse in our Shop.

Making personalized gifts can be easy!

Start with something we use every day such as handmade quilts, baby quilts, throws, quilt wall hangings and handmade pillows. With custom embroidery, make these practical items into personalized gifts by adding names, special dates, photos, ribbons, sayings and more.

Over the years, just adding a name has quickly turned items into cherished gifts.

What's In A Name?
Whether it's adding just a first name or a full name, adding a name is a great way to make personalized gifts.

Customers over the years have told us about grandchildren who have worn the embroidered name off from rubbing it so never underestimate the power of adding someone's name!

Other Quick Things To Name for Personalized Gifts
I tend to name things in my life; my car, my beehives, my cats - all have people names. With a little thought and whimsy, you can easily turn a gift into something quite personalized by adding a name:

Name the gift something that will bring a smile. It can be as practical as a paperweight, a plant or make a bulb garden (photo) that will keep someone company.

Write on a card: "Hello, this is Ralph the bulb garden and he's going to keep you company all winter."

Embroider vintage-inspired kitchen towels like Sunbonnet Sue and Cats Kitchen Towels with the names of the cook and cat.

Design your own quilt blocks and have each artist sign their quilt block with their name; we can make these into custom quilts and pillows.

Find a great Christmas ornament tied to a favorite event or hobby; write a date on the bottom. Add a card with the ornament history, the person's name and year it was given. Indelible ink pens are helpful here!

Have a bread starter people have been asking you to share? Here's the time to name the starter, store in plastic message bottles and share "juniors" with copy of recipe on how to make bread. Don't forget to give your bread starter a name! Harold the sourdough bread starter made the rounds with my friends for years!

Make Delicious Personalized Gifts!
I love to make and give handmade chocolate mice (photo).Chocolate mice are not only extremely easy to make, but you can also have fun with the gift tag!

Have another favorite chocolate recipe? Make a batch, store in a freezer bag in a quilted bag and include the recipe.

Pack cookie-making supplies into a quilted bag with a recipe and your name and email in case they need help getting it made - or sampled!

Thoughtful and Considerate Personalized Gifts
Besides adding a name, you can also easily personalize an item with a favorite saying, wish or prayer.

Sew 6" ribbons that can be tied representing prayers. We've made these with throws for hospital patients as well as holiday gifts with 12 ribbons representing prayers for the twelve months of the year; 31 ribbons to represent each day in a month.

Been thinking of adopting a pet but this is not a good time? Find a stuffed toy; give it a name and add a card that says when things are warmer, calmer, we'll find the perfect pet. Add a book about the care of a dog or cat so you can all learn how to be wonderful pet parents.

Make a pillow or stuffed animal out of a favorite ragged or cutter quilt, embroidering the name of the original quilt maker and the year the quilt was made on the bottom or back. Having the quilter's name and date adds value to the toy and helps preserve memories.

Have a younger family member's who is the spitting image of an older family member? Find two photos of them, taken at approximately the same age. (photo) Frame them together or in two identical frames with identifying information on the back.

I've made a number of these over the years for corporate customers and family members. Of all the personalized gifts they've received, they've said these photo combinations have been one of their favorites!

Making personalized gifts can be a challenge but if you take the time to get to know the person, the gifts will suggest themselves.

The sunbonnet quilt I ordered is adorable. My daughter just received it yesterday. I’ve inserted a picture of my granddaughter... I know she will enjoy it for many years to come.
