These vintage 1940s sewing baskets are becoming harder to find, especially in excellent condition like this one. My mother had one when we were growing up, she kept all of her favorite sewing implements in it and woe whoever borrowed her folding scissors without asking permission. We included two sets of folding scissors in ours, just in case one gets - should we say, misplaced? There are other favorites including a tomato pincushion with accompanying strawberry needle sharpener and a cute handmade thimble pincushion on a necklace to keep pins safely handy. Flat floral pins are included, as well as thread snips for easy removal of extra threads, a marking wheel and a glue stick to easily tack down fabric. We repeatedly use all of these in our work so we know they will be appreciated. There's room to add something more personal if you want to do so as well.
