What began in 1998 as a weekend trip with my mother to help find quilts for a friend is now a custom gift business. We make custom quilts in hard-to-find patterns, exclusive patterns with the artist's permission, and unique patterns I design. We also specialize in modernizing old favorites, such as double wedding ring quilts and making quilts out of printed photos, mementos, clothing and other fabrics. Baby crib quilts have become harder to find so we offer a variety of baby quilts in those smaller sizes that can easily be personalized with a baby's name and birth date.

Finishing Quilts By Hand
The most time consuming and expensive way to finish a quilt is with hand-quilting. The industry standard for good hand-quilting is same size stitches that average 8-10 stitches per inch.

Hand Quilting Lasts
Some of our customers have worried hand-quilting is a fragile way to finish quilts. Hand-quilting is a very durable finish and nicely lasts through a lot of use.

Wash and Dry Hand Quilted Quilts Separately
The main challenge with hand-quilted quilts is knowing how to wash and dry a quilt so that quilt threads aren't stretched and broken.

Wash a hand-quilted quilt by itself in cold water; dry flat or in a front-loading machine on cool.

Hand Quilting Price
Hand-quilting costs are usually based on the amount of thread used in a quilting design. That's the main reason why most hand quilting prices are estimates.

Amount of thread used is based on fabrics and batting.
