There are a number of names for this quilt, including Star of Bethlehem, which I thought most appropriate considering the holiday colors. This made in Missouri, USA quilt was made by Elsie Black of Edgar Springs, Missouri and found stored in the attic by a relative. I bought it directly from the estate. The twin size, extra wide 70x86-inch lightweight quilt features grass green and red solid cottons against a white background in the traditional Star of Bethlehem patchwork design. There's a tradition among quilters to never make a perfect quilt. The tradition continues in this quilt with one solid green block on the left side being slighter lighter than the rest. Finished with detailed hand quilting in white thread. Backing is a white cotton with a white cotton binding along the edge. In mint condition. Personalize with either red or white lettering centered in one of the solid green blocks.
