My mother bought this quilt at an Illinois estate sale directly from the family. It was made around 1930 and features hand-embroidered flowers on dark cream with solid green cotton blocks in between.
Mom speculated because the quilt is in such excellent condition, it may have been part of a bride's "hope chest" in preparation for the day she would get married.
The vintage quilt is finished with very tiny embroidery stitches. Lightweight. Backing is a solid cream. Mint condition.
Dry clean.
